L'acquerello, ed insieme a lui la china e gli inchiostri, dai tempi dell'accademia sono sempre stati i miei mezzi preferiti; questo anche per via del mio amore per la carta, specialmente in forma di "pagina".

La realtà al contrario non era una gran fonte d'ispirazione.

A cambiare questa cosa è stata la conoscenza del gruppo Sketchcrawl Roma, con cui ho iniziato a disegnare in giro per Roma. Apro una parentesi qui

per ringraziare Enrico Casarosa, fondatore di Sketchcrawl.com, Marco Carloni fondatore del gruppo Facebook Sketchcrawl-Roma e tutti i membri del gruppo per l'affetto, il supporto, i consigli, gli stimoli, l'ispirazione, che ho ricevuto da loro in questi anni. Incontrare gli altri disegnatori, e andare raminghi in giro a ritrarre le cose, e poi chiacchierare dei pennelli, e dei colori, e scambiarsi consigli... e racconti, e scherzi...

AH CHE IMMANE RICCHEZZA !!! Viva l'arte e viva gli artisti !!!

Insomma poi ultimamente mi è venuta la voglia usare la carta più grande, e non lo so ancora dov'è che mi porta questa cosa...

So solo che quando sono in silenzio, e guardo quello che desidero disegnare, accarezzando le forme e le luci con gli occhi, progettando le pennellate che penso di dare, sapendo che l'acqua poi comunque farà come le pare e sapendo poi che guardare le gocce di colore sarà bellissimo, sento una profonda gioia.

Eh si perché poi... chi non fa l'acquerello non lo sa quanto sono belli i colori prima di asciugarsi.... perché brillano come il mare.

While any kind of water based colors have always been my favorites, (also because of my love for paper especially in the shape of page) I cannot say the same for reality.

But one thing changed this:

and it was starting to go out sketching with the Sketchcrawl-Roma people.

And thanks also to everyone in the group, for  the support, the affection, the motivation and inspiration I received during the last years.

Meeting and roaming around spotting interesting views and things, then chatting about colors and brushes, exchange advices and experiences, joking, makes me feel great joy toward all artists, and of course also toward Roma, that always spoils us with her breathtaking beauty.

Lately I feel like I could risk a larger paper and who knows where this will bring to...

what I know is that when I sit in silence, looking at my subject, tasting shapes and lights, deciding the brushstrokes that could work, knowing that water will anyway do what she wants and that looking at the drops will be beautiful makes me feel great joy.
